Nicola McLean says online bullies who send her up to 70 abusive messages a day have left her fearing for her life.

Two years ago, the model hunted down and confronted her troll on TV documentary Celeb Trolls: We’re Coming To Get You, but she says the problem is still as bad as ever.

The mum-of-two says that the online trolls sending her endless nasty messages online are making her life a misery and have even left her fearing for her safety.

The 37-year-old told Closer magazine: “I’ve never understood why I’ve been targeted, but constantly reading hurtful comments about myself on Instagram has made my anxiety deteriorate massively.

“I’ve had trolls attack me over the years but one lady in particular targets me all the time and I’m back on anti-anxiety medication because I find it all so stressful. I’ve suffered with heart palpitations when I read all the vicious things she writes.”

Nicola has received awful messages mocking her physical appearance, her parenting skills, and her split from husband Tom Williams following reports he cheated in 2014.

The star has reported the threats and admits that she sometimes searches to see what her troll is saying about her.

The former Celebrity Big Brother housemate said: “Sometimes I search to see what she’s saying in case I need to defend myself. It’s hard not to get angry. I’m constantly worrying about what could happen to me as some of the threats are physical and I fear for my life.”

Nicola fears that her address could be easily found online these days and that she’s tried reporting her troll’s page, only to be told she isn’t breaking the site’s guidelines.

The star is horrified that the threats have even extended to her sons.

She says they were called “gay” after she posted pictures of them wearing pink football kits and that anonymous trolls have threatened to beat them up.

Nicola says the threats have made her “too overprotective” of her boys.
